About Cruising
What's it all about - View actual videos

I'm a computer type guy and generally introverted unless I have had a few cocktails. Before my first cruise I was concerned (horrified) I would be stuck on a ship with a bunch of stuck-up, snobby people. Boy, was I wrong. The people that go on all gay cruises are so friendly. Can you imagine people saying hello and smiling as you pass in the hall! And people actually talk while they are dining. It's a great place to make new friends as well as rekindle old friendships. I have been on over 10 gay cruises so far and the great thing is that there are all types of people from all walks of life, so there truly is a potential friend for everyone.

The Nitty Gritty

"You get the true nitty gritty about cruising right here, from someone who has been on a bunch. And although I am selling cruises I will shoot from the hip and tell it like it is."

Couples and Singles

Whether you're single or a couple, there are plenty of you out there. Since I was single, I was wondering if there would be enough single people on a cruise. The percentage of singles and couples does change with the type of cruise. For example European cruises may tend to have more couples on them. Although the 700+ passenger Greek cruise had plenty of singles for me. I found that all the US originating cruises had more than enough singles for any type. And if you're a couple there are plenty of couples on board to make friends with who share your point of view, whatever that may be.

Younger and Older, Type ?

It's a good thing that people don't like people exactly like themselves. In fact people's taste in the gay community vary widely. Some young folks only like other youngins and other young folk like older. Some older folk only like their own age and others like younger.   I won't even go into tall, short, slender, muscular, husky, blond, brunette, and on and on; you get the idea. We gays like all ages, shapes, sizes and personalities. So wouldn't you rather be on a ship, which has a wide variety of ages and types?  Well, gay cruises are the best place to be for a wide variety of choices from young party types to older professionals and everything in-between. And some of those older types sure know how to party!

Bored ...
Only If You Want To Be

There are so many gay oriented activities, shows, games, contests, parties, etc. that you won't have time to be bored unless you want to. Yes you can actually find interesting places to curl up with a book and just relax. Or find a quiet deck to sun bathe on. Or just sit and contemplate the scenery. The first cruise I went on, I wanted to go to every event and had a blast. On the last cruise there were a lot of things going on in my life and I just wanted some time to relax and think away from the office. So I only attended those events I really couldn't miss. There is absolutely no pressure. You do what you want.

How Does It Works
The Advantage

The great thing about a cruise is you get to go to a lot of great places and you don't have to worry about a hotel or travel arrangements between and at the destinations. On a regular vacation, it normally takes a whole day to pack, travel to the next destination and unpack. On a cruise your usually at a different port each day and you travel during the night, unless there is a lot of mileage between the two ports, at which time you will have what they call a "fun day at sea". Any day at sea is packed with things to do.

Affordable

And the savings to you are epic too - starting at about $145 per person per day, which include unlimited food, great cuisine, parties, guest DJs, fabulous gay oriented entertainment etc. What hotel offers those prices with all those extras?

A Good Show

On the larger ships, usually over 1800 passengers, RSVP and Atlantis replaces many of the ship's shows with their own. In addition to the headliners, I have also seen some great acts in the smaller lounges.   The large ship cruises include costume and sarong parties, dating, show and tell and newlywed games, gay bingo, tea-dances, disco, theme parties and the famous Pool Games.
